Updates to the Responsible Research website will end at the end of October.

The website has served as a platform for articles on responsible science and research. It has also hosted news and other content from the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies (TSV), the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK) and the Committee for Public Information (TJNK). This content will be available on the organisations’ own websites. Content on open science, Publication Forum and responsible research assessment will be available on TSV’s website.

TSV is preparing for a major communications renewal. In the last week of October, it will launch its new website and updated visual identity. The aim is to highlight TSV’s role in the research community and society at large, and to make it easier for website users to find the information they need.

– A consistent visual identity and a redesigned website make it easier to communicate the significance of TSV’s work to advance science. This benefits our member societies, experts in the research community, partners and the public interested in science, says Anna Kotaviita, TSV’s Head of Communications.

The redesigned website brings TSV’s wide-ranging work together in a more cohesive way. This creates synergies between its activities and helps visitors move smoothly from one piece of content to another.

– Ideally, visitors will discover the full range of TSV’s activities, including content they might not have thought to look for. One of our key aims is to make the website clear and easy to use, Kotaviita says.

Information about TSV’s strategically important coordination work in the research community is currently spread across several websites. Content on open science, the Publication Forum and responsible research assessment will be brought together on tsv.fi. The URLS avointiede.fi and julkaisufoorumi.fi will redirect visitors to the relevant pages on the site.

The redesign was driven by TSV’s new strategy for 2024–2030. The technology supporting the current website has reached the end of its lifecycle. TSV’s staff have worked together on the redesign, and partners have tested the website ahead of its launch. TSV will also collect feedback after the launch to support further development.
